White Plains

The county seat of Westchester is host to many of the commercial, artistic and civic attributes of a mid-sized city. In addition, it is home to a range of residential styles, from high-rise condominiums to single-family homes. White Plains is also home to Westchester's largest walkable downtown center.

The Commute

The Commute on Metro North from White Plains to Grand Central is approximately 40 minutes. The drive-depending on traffic-can take as little as 30 minutes.

White Plains is heralded for its sense of community and unique mix of urban and suburban enclaves.

 

The Legacy

The Jacob Purdy House, constructed in 1730, is a National Historic Landmark and was George Washington's HQ during the Battle of White Plains in 1776.
